The SCA16 are carbon shims designed to fit into size 16 reel seats. Their purpose is to improve the transmission of vibrations between the carbon blank and the angler's hand.

By leaving a gap between the reel seat and the blank, a resonating chamber is created, amplifying the vibrations, much like the resonating chamber of a guitar or drum kit.

Instructions for Use:

1. Fit the SCA16 shims to your reel seat by sanding them. We recommend using your drill as a lathe; this will make the job easier.

2. Apply the epoxy glue to the inside of your reel seat. 3. Position the SCA16s inside your reel seat – this step is easily done with a pencil, for example. 4. After the epoxy has completely dried, ream the SCA16s to align them with the intended position of your reel seat on your rig. These small carbon shims are likely to revolutionize your bottom-bouncing rigs by transforming your reel seat into a loudspeaker! Note: We advise against using the SCA16s with blanks that bend all the way to the butt, as they may create excessive stress when your blank flexes during the fight.
